Ethan and I took the ferry over to the Island to visit with Isabella and her charge, Gideon. Island life seems to agree with Isabella. We stayed at The Nebo Lodge and Restaurant, where Gideon's mom and dad are caretakers extraordinaire. The room was lovely, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and professional (Thank you, Andrew!). You can get to the island by ferry (or lobster boat) out of Rockland. 350 people live there year round while the population swells to 1000+ during the summer months. If you go, drop in to Nebo and say hello to Jane, Joe, Gideon and Andrew!
